Stormie was the third Cavalier to join our family, arriving because my son wanted a “big dog.”
Instead, he got a miniature Rottweiler — at least in colour. Stormie is our tiny black and tan girl, the smallest of all our Cavaliers, yet she carries herself with the confidence of a dog ten times her size.
She has absolutely no fear. Stormie is bold, determined and full of character, yet she is also the biggest snuggle bug in the house. She still believes she is a tiny baby and will make space to be near you even when no space exists. If there is a lap, a shoulder, a gap between cushions or even the smallest corner of a blanket, Stormie will find a way to fit herself into it.
Her energy is infectious. She whirls around the house like a little storm, makes the most hilarious old‑person grumbles and groans, and brings a sense of chaos and comedy wherever she goes. Despite her size, she has a huge presence and a personality that fills the room.
Stormie adores her sisters and loves nothing more than playing with them — and annoying them — in equal measure. She is fearless, affectionate and endlessly entertaining, bringing a spark of mischief and joy to our home every single day.
Stormie is currently too young to undergo the full range of health testing required for breeding.
At Minvalonnie, we only breed from dogs who have passed every stage of our extensive health screening, which includes:
MRI (CM/SM)
Cardiologist heart testing
Ophthalmology (ECVO)
DNA testing
Patella assessment
Hip and elbow scoring
Full pre‑breeding blood work
Once she reaches the appropriate age, Stormie will complete all of these tests.
Only if she passes every requirement will she join our breeding programme.
If she does not meet our strict health criteria, she will simply continue her life as a cherished family companion.
Our priority is always the long‑term health and future of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
